Elisabeth Drude is a German artist living in Vienna. After training as a goldsmith, she completed her studies in art history, Italian, and history at the University of Cologne in 1998 with a thesis on iron jewelry. After many years in Italy, where she worked in the jewelry sector, she has devoted herself to her own artistic practice since 2017.
For Drude, jewelry is a medium for telling stories. Her works are inspired by everyday observations and cultural codes.
